During 2006, the SA Medical Research Council became a collaborator of the HON Foundation with the main objective to review English-speaking African health and medical Web site for HON certification. In order to provide support to Web developers in African countries, e-learning and consumer guidelines serves as additional objectives.
Through these efforts the SA MRC contributes to the provision of reliable information by African Web sites to health consumers on the Wolrd Wide Web.
